Sampson Community College provides a wide range of courses to anyone 18 years of age or older through the Division of Continuing Education. Formal registration for a course is offered during the first class session. At least 10 students must enroll during the registration period in order for the course to be held. Registration fees are due at the first class session. Persons 65 years of age or older are exempt from registration fees. However, the cost of any materials, books, supplies, or the technology fee, if any, that might be required for a course is the responsibility of each student. Farmers Adopting Computer Training (FACT) The Farmers Adopting Computer Training (FACT) program is provided to area farmers with the cooperative efforts of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, the Sampson Community College Small Business Center, and the Human Resources Development Program. The program provides area farmers with low or no cost computer training to enable them to maintain accurate farm records, research new markets for crops, prepare for career readiness, and more. Notary Public This 6-hour course offers the basic information needed to perform the duties of a Notary Public. All persons who desire to become a commissioned notary must satisfactory complete a course of study approved by the Secretary of State. Practicing attorneys at law are exempt from this requirement. Motor Vehicle Dealer License - Renewal Course This six hour course is structured to meet the continuing education training requirements for the Used Motor Vehicle Dealer's License Renewal requirement.
